How To Maintain Locs

How To Maintain Locs

I like to use a method called palm twisting when I re-twist the locs. I start from the back of the nape clipping all the excess hair up to keep it out of the way. I start with one loc in the first layer of the nape. I put Kai-jo All Purpose Cream on the loc from the root and twist it a little to secure it. Then I place the loc between my palms "fingers facing opposite directions" and then I roll it until the loc is tight at the root. I grab my clips then clip them down to keep them from unraveling. You repeat these steps until the whole head is finished. Then sit the client under the dryer until product is absorbed and dried into the hair. After the hair is dried you can remove the clips. Go through and separate any locs that are twisted together. This should only take a maximum of 1.5 hours to complete. Check out our YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9mouegESJ0
