Why Go Natural?
So why is it so important to use natural products? This question is asked a lot. Do you ever take the time to read what's on the back of the ingredients of your favorite products? How about do you understand what Parabens and Sulfates are? A lot of commercial retail manufacturers are only concerned with making money and not the well being of their consumers. Parabens are an estrogen-like hormone that some cosmetic companies and beauty manufactuers put in their products to preserve it. Although it helps kill micro-organisms, these parabens absorb into your skin and can help with the development of different types of cancers. Researchers and Scientist have found that parabens are found in the tumors of many cancer patients. Parabens are found in many foods that we consume on a daily basis. Be mindful of what you eat and what you apply on your body.
Sulfates are found in many shampoos and cleansing products.Sulfates are a group of detergents or surfactants that are used in countless consumer goods today. The most commonly used sulfates are sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). These corrosive cleaning agents started off as an industrial strength cleaning additive since they easily cut through heavily soiled surfaces.
Sulfates can strip away your natural moisture, leaving your skin and hair very dry. A lack of moisture can cause premature aging. Sulfates themselves are classified as a skin and membrane irritant and therefore, also a possible carcinogen with repeated or prolonged exposure. They also can produce even more hazardous by-products by the other ingredients they are often blended with.
This is the era of time when we as people are getting back to natural and/or organic products. We are building awareness of the hazards of using products that are not natural. This is not a trend, but should be a way of life to save the community from harmful damage.
